From an
economic point of view,
Chile
is the lowest commercial and finance risk country in
South
America
. The
clear and consistent rules for investing, the open economy, the political
stability, the almost non-existent corruption in the commercial-business
activities and the consensus between all the social levels about the need to
continue along the same path, have enabled the country to achieve an high
permanent annual growth rate over the last 25 years. Political maturity is set in two and half
decades of growth and reassuring social stability. Elections are free and transparent and the
political parties are willing to provide solutions to all sectors of society.
Secondly,
it’s important to point out that the basis for commercial policy has remained
stable and without changes since the mid 1970’s, thus avoiding uncertainty in
the markets as the result of political leader changes. Commercial practice is modelled according to
internationally accepted standards, with the intention of being predictable and
transparent for foreigners. The
stability and success obtained by Chile has been demonstrated by the signing of
Free-Trade Agreements with the European Union, the United States, Korea and
Canada, EFTA (Norway, Switzerland, Lictenstein), P4 (New Zealand, Singapur and Brunei), China, Japan,
Australia, as well as the MERCOSUR (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay),
Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru Venezuela, Panama Cuba, Costa Rica, Honduras,
Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador, and other countries with partial
agreements and with negotiations to expand them.
Lastly,
Chilean executives are highly educated, cosmopolitan and know how to integrate
cultural customs with commercial targets. For ASENAV this has been allways a policy and a premise. In conclusion,
Chile
is an excellent destination to invest in and do business, as it is a stable
reliable country with continuous growth. Furthermore, thanks to the commercial agreements reached, it can provide
an excellent platform for doing business in
South
America
, as well as the rest of the world.
