Being Chile one of the world’s largest farmed salmon producers, several specialised transport vessels for live salmon, Well Boats, have been constructed by ASENAV.   This new transport system offers farming and processing companies significant advantages such  as:

		The fish is harvested live into the Wellboats, which is much simple logistically, not being necessary to slaught the fishes on the side of the production centers and not contaminating consequently the water with blood..
		The Well Boats can transport live fish over long distances in a controlled environment.
		As the fish maintains its high quality during live transportation, the subsequent quality of the salmon produced by the processing plant is much higher, as well as much more consistent.

Asenav built several Well Boats with up to 1440 m³  fish-hold capacity using inhouse designs, as well as one with a Vik-Sandvik design under license, as requested by customer for this vessel.

With also the close cooperation with the “wellboats” operators in Chile and the experience gained over the years Asenav is specially prepared for constructing wellboats with the most developed and sophisticated new systems, technologies and equipment.
